BruinBill, the UCLA campus billing platform, is where you can manage and pay for registration fees, campus charges, housing, transportation fees and more. At the beginning of each quarter, financial aid will be applied to your housing charges in BruinBill, after your tuition and fees are covered.
BruinBill is available 24/7; just log on to MyUCLA (you’ll need your UCLA Logon ID).
Mandatory tuition, housing, and other fees are assessed prior to the beginning of each academic term. Other miscellaneous fees, such as bookstore purchases, may post to your bill throughout the term. You can find a charge’s due date on your BruinBill, but usually, payment is due on the 20th of the month following the posting date of the charge. If the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday, the due date is the last business day before the 20th.
Get a UCLA Fees Overview and view Housing Contract Rates and Rental Rates.
Note: Posted tuition, fees and charges are estimates based on currently approved amounts. These figures may not be final. Actual tuition, fees and charges are subject to change by the Regents of the University of California and could be affected by State funding reductions. Accordingly, final approved fees and charges (and thus a student’s final balance due) may differ from the amounts shown.
Helpful BruinBill Services
Bruin Direct is the fastest way to get a BruinBill refund (e.g. financial aid refund). Members are refunded by direct deposit into a U.S. checking or savings account. You’ll get your funds in 2–3 business days and avoid waiting for mailed checks. Sign up directly on your BruinBill by clicking “Enroll” under “My BruinDirect.”
With Third Party View you can authorize a third party, such as a parent, to access your BruinBill account. They’ll be able to make payments, sign up to receive email reminders and get details about your billing account (which can only be disclosed to you or a designated third party).
By enrolling in BruinPay Plan (BPP), you can spread your term tuition and other term fees into monthly installments. Check your BruinBill to see if you’re eligible for the plan and enroll under “My BruinPay Plan.” You must enroll in BPP for each term for which you wish to have an installment plan.
How to Pay Your BruinBill
Review the BruinBill Payment Methods Guide which is summarized below, to find the best payment option for you.
Online through MyUCLA
On your BruinBill landing page, select “Make a Payment” from the top ribbon. You’ll be redirected to a payment page. Online payments must be completed by 5:00 p.m. PT on the deadline date. You can pay using the following methods:
Bank Account
- We recommend using the Bank Account payment method to avoid service fees. Your payment posts instantly. You must have a U.S. bank checking or savings account.
Domestic Credit/Debit Card
- Your payment will post instantly. A non-refundable transaction fee is charged for each payment.
International Payment Methods
- We encourage students to compare rates across international payment methods to determine their best option. Available vendors include Flywire and Convera, and methods include bank transfers, international credit cards (service fee applies) and more. To initiate a Convera or Flywire payment, select “Pay by foreign currency” and follow the prompts.
In Person
Pay in person at the cashiering office (Payment Solutions & Compliance Office) located at 1125 Murphy Hall. Please see the website for hours of operation. In-person payments are processed on the same day.
You may pay using a paper check, cashier’s check or money order. Cash is accepted, but as a personal safety precaution, we advise against large-sum cash payments. Credit/debit cards are not accepted in person.
By Mail
Payments sent by mail require up to 10 business days to be processed once received. They should be made out to “UC Regents” and include the student’s name, nine-digit university identification number, term, and the BruinBill account type (i.e. Regular Term Bill) on the payment.

Payments From Third Party Sponsors
If your tuition will be paid for by a third-party sponsor, convenient online billing is available. It’s important that you establish an association between your sponsor and UCLA Student Accounts as soon as possible.

When to Pay Your BruinBill
View the Student Billing Calendar for important billing dates and deadlines. For regular undergraduate students, tuition and housing fees are assessed before each quarter begins. Your BruinBill reflects your balance due after your anticipated financial aid disbursement. If anticipated financial aid does not fully cover your fees, you’re still responsible for making a payment by the deadline. It is important that you regularly review your BruinBill throughout the term for new charges to avoid incurring delinquency fees.
Account holders must pay all charges in full by the 20th of the month following the posting date of the charge. If the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date is the last business day before the 20th. Payment must be made by 5:00 p.m. PT online or during business hours if made in person at the Payment Solutions & Compliance Office at 1125 Murphy Hall.
Bi-weekly email reminders are sent to account holders with a balance. Please ensure your MyUCLA email address is up to date at all times. Continue to monitor your account for six months after your affiliation ends with UCLA.
Please note, if student services fees are not paid in full by the payment deadline the account will be subject to late fees, holds will be placed on the account, and classes will be dropped in accordance with the drop class deadline (see the Registrar’s Calendar for class drop dates specific to each term).
