Nearly 100% of freshmen choose to live on campus

UCLA will guarantee up to four years of housing in university-owned residences for incoming freshmen and two years for transfer students

Designed to support your academic success and personal growth, the Hill features a vast array of outstanding resources and services. You’ll also discover endless ways to meet like-minded students, make friends and connect with classmates.

Location

With its many meeting places, dining spots and recreational spaces, the Hill offers a built-in community with a friendly, neighborhood feel. Classrooms, labs, libraries and sports facilities are a short walk away.

Enjoy access to 16 sports facilities, six pools, a bustling student union, a multitude of dining halls and cafes, sublime spots to relax and recharge, world-renowned art and cultural happenings and endless social and academic activities.

John Wooden Center offers everything from basketball, volleyball and squash to a gymnastics gymnasium, fitness studio, dance and martial arts, personal trainers and a rock-climbing wall.

Students who settle in at the residence halls can easily get together with friends and classmates in their rooms, at cafes and dining halls, outdoors and in the many study lounges nearby.

Even when they’re doing laundry, which is conveniently located in every residence hall, Bruins find time to have fun, share ideas and connect with friends.

Students who use the Study at Hedrick, the Hill’s new mixed-use environment, love the space’s high-tech discussion rooms, comfy lounge seating, ample windows and cozy fireplace.

Our award-winning dining program offers healthy, palate-pleasing options for all types of dietary needs and preferences. Put Your Health in Good Hands

The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center is located in the heart of campus. They offer a 24-hour nurse hotline, cutting-edge primary care, physical therapy and psychological services. Need specialized services? The Ashe Center can refer you to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, also on campus.

Feel Safe and Secure

Rest easy with safety options that include 24-hour assistance from the UCLA Police Department and safety escorts to accompany you on campus in the evenings. There’s also a van service to transport you from nearby residential areas and Westwood Village. Plus, BruinAlert notifies everyone if there’s a campus-wide safety concern, emergency or crisis.
