Major Preparation Requirements

  • One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
  • One and a half years of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, magnetism, electrodynamics, optics, and special relativity)
  • Linear algebra
  • Differential equations
  • Two courses in astrophysics (stars, nebulae, stellar evolution, galaxies, and cosmology)
  • One course in computer programming
  • One course in general chemistry


Required by end of spring before transfer

  • One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
  • One year of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, and magnetism)
  • Linear algebra


Note: It is strongly recommended that the remainder of major prep be completed prior to transfer.
