Major Preparation Requirements

  • One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
  • Linear Algebra
  • Differential Equations
  • One year of calculus-based physics
  • One course in C++ programming or Matlab for Geoscientists
  • Climate Science
  • Introduction to Undergraduate Research in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences

Note: Effective for fall 2021 and thereafter, Introduction to Undergraduate Research in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences will be a required preparation course for this major. This course may be taken at UCLA after transfer.
