Major Preparation Requirements
Required courses
- One year of general chemistry with lab
- One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
Two or more additional courses from
- Linear algebra
- Differential equations
- One and a half years of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, magnetism, etc.)
- One year of biology with lab
- Intro to computer science or computer programming
- Statistics (equivalent to UCLA’s Statistics 10 or Life Sciences 40)

* Students are classified as Pre-Computational and Systems Biology until lower division preparation courses are completed at UCLA.
