Transfer Preparation Requirements — Computational and Systems Biology*

Major Preparation Requirements

  • One year of general chemistry with lab
  • One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
  • Linear algebra
  • Differential equations
  • One and a half years of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, magnetism, etc.)
  • One year of biology with laboratory for majors
  • One introductory course in computer science or computer programming
  • One Statistics course (equivalent to UCLA’s Stats 10 or Life Sciences 40)

* Students are classified as Pre-Computational and Systems Biology until lower division preparation courses are completed at UCLA.
